Payment security

We currently offer the follwing payment options:

  • Credit or debit card issued by any of the major banks excluding American Express.
  • Cheque or postal order.

We welcome payment by both of these methods, however, payment by credit or debit card offers you the greatest speed and protection.

All payments are secured by 128bit SSL certificate issued by Thawtes and is the common encryption standard employed by other eCommerce stores, banks and financial institutions. It means that when your card details are sent to us from your web browser they are scrambled into a set of random characters which only our server will be able to unscramble and understand*. Additionaly to this, your details are stored on our server in an encrypted format (Advanced Encryption Standard) and cannot be read by anyone who does not have the secure key to read them. We do not store your CSV number beyond the period required to authorise payment. You can at anytime review your payment details and delete your card details from our system, or request that they not be stored at the time you checkout. We store your card details so that we can make the checkout process as simple and fast as possible and so that we can introduce future services such as FastClick checkouts and so we can make any refunds that may be necessary should you decide to return some or all of your order. Additionaly your card issuer is required by law to refund any suspected fraudulent trasnactions made using your account.

*It might be possible with a super-powerful computer and lots of time to intercept and de-crypt your information, but this is highly unlikely.

When do we take payment for your order?

We only take payment from your card when we are ready to begin the shipping process that is when we have all the products ready to box up and send that day. If you decide to pay by cheque then we will wait until that payment has cleared into our account before shipping the goods to you.
